Karl Küppers founded Küppers Elektromechanik GmbH (KEM), in 1965 and started to design turbine flow meters with digital and analog evaluation electronics. Subsequently, gear flow meters were added to the range. The product range was extended by helical flow meters and special lightweight gear flow meter for paints, which became the industry standard in automotive paint spraying systems. The most recent introductions are a coriolis mass flow meter and a turbidity meter.
KEM has followed a certificated Quality Management according to DIN EN ISO 9001-2000 since 1994. Not only KEM products, but also the whole production process is involved in the quality management.
KEM became a member of US-based TASI group in December 2005. Together with US partners AW-Lake Company, they are part of the “Flow Family” at TASI.
